Ms. Huong Tran

Huong Thi Lan Tran (Huong) is currently a Senior Public Sector Specialist at the World Bank’s Vietnam country office. Her work focuses on a range of core governance and institutional reform issues, including enhancing public sector performance, access to information, transparency, and accountability. Most recently, she has been collaborating with government agencies at national and sub-national levels to promote the use of spatial information for smart governance.

Prior to joining the World Bank in Vietnam, Huong worked for the Finnish Development Agency, where she managed numerous grassroots projects aimed at improving access to information and services for citizens, as well as preventing rural women from being trafficked. She holds a Master’s degree in Development Studies with a focus on Public Policy from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand.
