We are committed to research excellence and work that will have a positive impact.
Research at RMIT Vietnam is structured around research areas that promote multidisciplinary collaboration across the three Schools. Find out more about the research areas from the three Schools below.
RMIT Vietnam promotes multidisciplinary research teams across schools to conduct research with a focus on impact in the areas of Sustainable Development, Digital Transformation and Smart Cities, and Social Innovation.
Contributing to the sustainable development of Vietnam, that meets the economic needs of today, without compromising the needs of future generations. This requires interdisciplinary collaboration and innovative solutions to promote sustainable economic, environmental, and social prosperity in Vietnam.
Contributing to development economics and major industries in Vietnam to ensure economic competitiveness, socio-economic development, infrastructure, smart technologies and the digital economy. This requires an overall uplift of technological capabilities in digital industries, and the future of digital transformation.
Contributing knowledge and engagement in relation to culture, creativity and society. To understand an individual's lived experience, we must make sense of the communities, cultures and societies in which they live. This requires that we learn from the past to ensure a future in which everyone can thrive.
RMIT Vietnam recognises the important role the research and innovation sector can play in promoting, supporting and contributing to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals here in Vietnam. The SDGs are embedded into every project delivered by RMIT Vietnam, to ensure maximum impact across the 17 SDGs.
If you would like to discuss partnering with researchers from a particular research cluster that aligns to the achievement of a particular SDG in Vietnam, reach out to our team and we will connect you with our experts in that area.
