Dr. Khuong Nguyen-Vinh

Khuong Nguyen is currently a Distanced Doctoral Candidate in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at VSB Technical University of Ostrava, Czech Republic, and is working as a Lecturer teaching Electronic and Computer Systems Engineering at RMIT University Vietnam. Khuong received his B.Sc. in Power Systems from VNU-HCMC University of Technology (Saigon, Vietnam), M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from University of Arkansas (Fayetteville, Arkansas, USA), and Ph.D. in Computer Science from Selinus University of Science and Literature (Rome, Italy) in 2014, 2018, and 2023 respectively.
Prior to joining RMIT in 2020, Khuong has taught in other schools in Vietnam and in the USA; he has conducted research in some US labs and has worked for several years in the industry as an engineer and a technical head. He received some remarkable scientific awards & recognitions:
- Best Conference Paper Award (24th IEEE International Scientific Conference on Electric Power Engineering, Kouty nad Desnou, Czechia, 2024)
- Best Research Paper Award (Vietnam Education Foundation 13th Annual Conference, Tempe, AZ, USA, 2017)
- Outstanding Reviewer Award (24th IEEE EEEIC International Conference on Environment and Electrical Engineering, Rome, Italy, 2024)
