Dr. Khuong Nguyen-Vinh

Khuong Nguyen (Nguyễn Vĩnh Khương) is currently a Lecturer in Electronic and Computer Systems Engineering at the School of Science, Engineering & Technology (SSET), RMIT University, Vietnam. Khuong received his B.Sc. in Power Systems from VNU-HCMC University of Technology (Saigon, Vietnam), M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from University of Arkansas (Fayetteville, Arkansas, USA), and Ph.D. in Electrical Power Engineering from VSB - Technical University of Ostrava (Ostrava, Czech Republic) in 2014, 2018, and 2025 respectively. Prior to joining RMIT in 2020, Khuong has taught in other schools in Vietnam and in the USA; he has conducted research in some US labs and has worked for several years in the industry as an engineer and a technical head. He received some remarkable scientific awards & recognitions:

• Best Conference Paper Award (24th IEEE International Scientific Conference on Electric Power Engineering, Kouty nad Desnou, Czech Republic, 2024)
• Best Research Paper Award (Vietnam Education Foundation 13th Annual Conference, Tempe, AZ, USA, 2017)
• Outstanding Reviewer Award (24th IEEE EEEIC International Conference on Environment and Electrical Engineering, Rome, Italy, 2024)
• 2024 RMIT Vietnam Excellence in Teaching Awards - Citations for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning.
• VSB - Technical University of Ostrava Extraordinary Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement (2025)
