About

Ronald Harvey completed PhD (2014) in Community Psychology at the DePaul University in Chicago, IL. His research interests focus on Substance Abuse and Recovery Communities, Domestic and Sexual Violence, and Homeless with complex system approach: social networks, government policies, cultural attitudes, employment, housing and families. He has experience teaching and conducting research in the United States, Southeastern, Central and Eastern Europe, and Africa. He created the Psychology program in his last position as Assistant Professor of Psychology at the American University in Bulgaria before joining RMIT Vietnam.

- Study Expert, Title: Recovery Housing for Alcohol and Drug Disorders: A National Study of Availability, Characteristics, and Factors Associated with Evidence-based Practices. Project Number: R01AA027782-0, funded by National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA)
- Co-Investigator, U.S. Department of Justice, Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) Evaluation Initiative, January 2017–January 2020. This $398,857 grant award is an evaluation of 30 to 50 women enrolled in the Support, Education, Empowerment, and Directions (SEEDs) program in Phoenix Arizona
