Dean of Students

Associate Professor Seng Kiat Kok is the Dean of Students.

As Dean of Students, RMIT Vietnam, Associate Professor Seng Kiat Kok provides strategic management and leadership in the student-centered and student-facing domains of the university, particularly, in areas of academic progression, student experiences and student wellbeing.

He is charged with delivering RMIT’s strategic goals and its country commitment alongside working with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders in achieving these outcomes. These include working with academic colleges and schools in furthering pedagogy, oversight of programs design and quality assurance as well as externally engaging industry and alumni. Seng further oversees student-facing facilities such as the library, health and recreation center along with student services such as Student Wellbeing, Student Life, Connect and SAS.

He holds a PhD and two Master’s Degrees from Liverpool John Moores University in the United Kingdom. He is currently supervising PhD and DBA candidates in these areas of interest and has published extensively, with over 50 journal articles and book chapters to his name. Previously, Seng was Deputy Dean Learning and Teaching, and Senior Program Manager for HR and Entrepreneurship in The Business School, RMIT Vietnam. 

Seng has previously taught on and managed academic programs in the UK, Malaysia and Sri Lanka and has worked with a number of professional bodies during his career. He is research active in the fields of management science, higher education management, entrepreneurship and tourism.
