Dr Bradley McConachie is the Interim Head, Office of Research and Innovation.
As the Interim Head, Office for Research and Innovation (ORI), RMIT Vietnam, Dr Bradley McConachie leads the ORI team and is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of RMIT Vietnam’s research strategy.
He is charged with promoting a culture of research at the University and works closely with the Deans of RMIT Vietnam schools, Research and Innovation Portfolio to uplift research and implement initiatives to support RMIT Vietnam’s research aspiration through the development of research capability, driving research collaborations and networks across RMIT Vietnam, and with local, national, and global partners. The role partners with key stakeholders in Melbourne and Barcelona to drive and support research opportunities, research partnerships, research proposals, research integrity, ethics and research trainings.
As an APA and Endeavour Scholar, Bradley was awarded his PhD in Government and International Relations from Griffith University in 2018, while collaborating with the Australian Studies Centre at Peking University, Beijing. He was recognised for his contribution to public diplomacy research with a Research Excellence Award and receipt of the Chancellor’s medal. His research interest is on improving Australia’s relations with the Asian region through impactful research collaborations toward development outcomes for emerging economies. Bradley has worked in Senior research management and policy roles in the Australian Government and higher education sector, and most recently, worked in international research for UNESCO’s Beijing Office.
