Dean of School of Science, Engineering & Technology

Professor Iwona Miliszewska is the Dean of the School of Science, Engineering & Technology.

Iwona has extensive experience in tertiary teaching, research, and academic leadership, including 15 years in transnational settings in Hong Kong and Malaysia.

Most recently, she served as Associate Dean Global Networks in the Faculty of Engineering & Information Technology at University of Technology Sydney. Prior to this, Iwona held positions as Head of School at the University of Canberra and Victoria University in Melbourne.

Iwona’s leadership has included advocacy in Information and Communication Technology (ICT), particularly through her roles as President of the Australian Council of Deans of ICT, Director of the Australian Computer Society’s ICT Educators Board and as a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Einstein Centre Digital Future in Berlin, Germany.

Outside of work, Iwona is an avid traveler and downhill skier. She also loves stage theatre, opera, murder mysteries, and has a self-confessed penchant for suede high heel shoes.
