RMIT Carnival 2024 shines as our University's most vibrant and festive event of the year! 

It's all about having a blast while embracing diversity and inclusion within our incredible community of staff, alumni, and students. It’s the perfect opportunity to hang out, savour delicious food, enjoy outdoor activities, and groove to live performances, all while celebrating RMIT’s flourishing multicultural family.

Event details and registration

Saigon South campus

Time: 3 – 8pm, Saturday, 9 November 2024

Venue: Building 10 and Sports field, SGS campus, Ho Chi Minh City

Hanoi campus

Time: 3 – 8pm, Saturday, 16 November 2024

Venue: Nang Song Hong Village, Long Bien, Hanoi

Note:

Registration will close on: 

  • Saigon South campus: 4 November 2024  
  • Hanoi campus: 11 November 2024 

However, the form will close earlier if the maximum ticket capacity is reached before these dates.

  • Carnival doorgift – To reduce single-use utensils, RMIT Carnival is giving all participants reusable tumblers! This year's exclusive tumbler features the winning design from our student-led Carnival Merchandise Design Competition. Join us to collect yours and celebrate creativity and diversity! 🎉

Accessible event – It's a Carnival for everyone!

  • Games are now available indoors and outdoors for all types of different age range.
  • Support is available for participants with accessibility needs
  • RMIT Carnival is packed with fun and lively activities, but if you need a break from the hustle and bustle of the event, you can head to The Quiet Space. It's a perfect spot to relax and recharge when you feel overwhelmed or need downtime.

  • Hanoi campus:12 November 2024 – 14 November 2024 at Student Breakout Area, Level 5

Essential information

  • Only ticketed participants are eligible to access the event. Tickets are non-transferable and cannot be given or sold. If you have a ticket but cannot attend, please cancel your ticket to give the slot to another participant.
  • Upon successful registration, participant will receive an e-ticket with unique QR code which is attached with their name and ID.
  • This QR code is used for event check-in, getting door gifts, taking food, and claiming the event LED wristband*.
  • The event includes various outdoor activities, some of which involve physical exercise. Please dress comfortably and consider your health when participating.
  • The below documents are required for event access and security check: 
    • QR-coded ticket(s)
    • RMIT student card / staff card
    • Alumni e-card/ national ID card (or its photo version)/ passport (or its photo version)

* available only for RMIT staff and current students

Transportation

  • Saigon South: Taxi or other public transportation is recommended. The Saigon South car parking lot is NOT reserved for this event.
  • Hanoi: Shuttle bus service is available for the Hanoi attendees with prior registration. Please check your confirmation email for more detail.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Staff and their family members, students and alumni can attend the event. Due to the limited capacity, only ticketed participants can attend the event.

Due to the event capacity and the large number of slots allocated to current students, we are afraid that we cannot extend the invitation to students' friends and family.

No. For security purposes, all guests attending the event need to register for tickets in advance.

Only RMIT staff can bring their children to the event. Ticketed children can attend the event and they must always be accompanied and supervised by parents and guardians.

No. RMIT Carnival is open for free for participants.

Food and drinks are provided during the event. For health and safety reasons, do NOT take home the food provided.

If you have any food allergies, please carefully review the ingredients listed for each dish before consuming.

Please bring your e-ticket and one of the following documents to the event for security check:

  • Staff and students: RMIT student ID card or staff card
  • External guests: national ID card or passport

No lockers are provided so please take care of your belongings.

Please respect the privacy of individuals. Do not photograph and film any individuals without their permission.  

If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to stop by our on-site Helpdesks. Our event patrols and student volunteers will also be circulating throughout the event, ready to provide directions, event details, or support with any special needs. 

Onsite medical service is also available.
