Preparing a quotation response

As receiving a request for quotation from a requester of RMIT, the following steps are recommended to conduct to prepare for your quotation response

  • (Understand what goods and/or services are required in the Request for Quotations received from RMIT requester.
  • (Seek clarification (if needed) from requester on their purchasing requests including but not limited to detail specification, payment term, etc.
  • Provide necessary information
    • Your response should provide all the information requested. Your quotation should always be on company letterhead and should include your enterprise information, tax code, your registered address and your contact details. To ensure the most appropiate quotation, the following information should also be included:
      • an indication of your level of compliance with the specification and the conditions of quotation and, if applicable, the conditions of contract (if you exceed the requirements, or only partially comply, you will need to indicate in which terms and provide explanation).
      • a price schedule, additional cost, payment term and any commercial indication.
      • any highlight that requester should be aware of.
  • Lodge your quote following to method and submission time as specified in the quotation requirement.

How we evaluate Quotation response

Your quotation will be evaluated based on its alignment with RMIT's requirements for goods or services. We seek proposals that deliver the expected outcomes and deliverables while offering the best value for money.
