About

Dr. Ben Scott completed a PhD at Edith Cowan University (ECU), one of only two Academic Centres of Cyber Security Excellence (ACCSE) in Australia. He was a fully funded Cybersecurity Cooperative Research Centre (CSCRC) Scholar during his doctoral studies. He has been an Internet Society MANRS Research Fellow and a member of the Interplanetary Network Significant Interest Group (IPNSIG) Technical Documentation Working Group. 

 

His research interests include security data science and engineering, anomaly detection systems, machine learning and its applications in cybersecurity, digital forensics, and the intersection of cybersecurity with signals intelligence and information warfare. His work explores adversarial strategies, defensive and offensive techniques in information operations, the detection and mitigation of security threats in critical systems, and the role of cyber capabilities in contemporary conflict and strategic communication.
