Dr. Soumik Parida is currently the Associate Program Manager for Professional Communication Program overlooking the Advertising stream and Competitions Coordinator at RMIT University Vietnam's School of Communication & Design. With more than 18 years of experience in the communication and design industry and academia, Soumik is a true creative-allrounder.
As an accomplished educator, Soumik has coordinated and delivered highly relevant advertising courses that have empowered his students to excel in the field. He teaches a diverse range of subjects, including Introduction to Communication & Design, Introduction to Advertising, Making Media, Creative Advertising, and Copywriting.
Dr. Parida also explores the ethical use of AI in education, ensuring that technology is leveraged responsibly to support student development. His involvement in curriculum development includes utilizing AI tools to align course content with industry trends and job market demands, thus preparing students for future careers. Additionally, he employs AI-driven strategies to boost student engagement and retention, creating a more dynamic and supportive learning environment.
Soumik's passion for mentoring and inspiring his students extends beyond the classroom. He is on a mission to showcase their creative prowess to the world by encouraging them to participate in national and international creative competitions. His students have been consistently winning some of the biggest creative competitions in the world including D&AD New Blood, Young Ones, Future Lions and Young Stars.
