How to apply - Study abroad in Vietnam

These representatives are knowledgeable about RMIT University and the Australian education system and will be able to verify all documentation that you will need to provide.

Step 1. Check your eligibility

Step 2. Prepare the required documents

To avoid delays in admission processing, please ensure you have all the necessary supporting documents ready to include in your application. Here is a list of what you require:

  • Certified copies of official academic transcripts/results for programs you have started (complete and incomplete) in both the original language and English
  • English proficiency proof (IELTS/ TOEFL/RMIT English Language Certificate) or a confirmation letter from your home institution on English level equal to CEFR B2 
  • A copy of your portrait photo
  • A copy of your passport including the bio-data page

Step 3. Propose the course for your study plan

As part of your application, you will need to propose a minimum of six (6) courses per trimester by using our Course search tool to find courses of interest to you.

To find more detailed information about a course and its prerequisites, please click on the course code (eg. ECON1192) after searching the course option.

GAP year students are required to select only from our undergraduate “recommended” courses from the schools of accounting; business; IT and logistics; economics, finance, and marketing; management; engineering.

Step 4. Submit your application

Fill out the online application form (registration required) and attach all relevant supporting documents. (Refer to the application checklist to see what documents are required).

Once your application is complete, follow the prompts and submit your application.

Application approvals

Your application will be assessed in line with RMIT’s policies and procedures. If you are successful, you will receive an offer letter via email. Follow the prompts to accept your offer letter via the online application portal.

RMIT will normally advise you on the outcome of your application within 5-7 business days. If you don't hear back within the time frame, please contact our International Student Recruitment team via email: international@rmit.edu.vn

Study abroad application deadlines

RMIT Vietnam has three trimesters each year, which commence in February, June, and October.

To prepare for the visa process and course placement, we recommended that international students submit their application to RMIT 3 months before the commencement date of each trimester
