External Workshops: How to ace a presentation
This talk show provided valuable information and techniques on how to manage the littlest things that people might not even notice in a presentation but make a huge difference in efficiency and experience for both the speaker and their audience. This included tone of voice, body language, slide preparation, and practice.
Internal Training for members: Fear and Confidence, MC and public skills
These talk show provided valuable knowledge and confidence necessary for MC jobs, speaking in front of a large audience, or presenting any project in front of a council of judges, consumers, etc. The event also provides a comfortable place for for members in RMIT Public Speaking Club to network and understand not only themselves but also others in public speaking through shared practice and activities.
Company Visit: United Nations, National Television Broadcaster - VTV
The visting sessions allowed RMIT Public Speaking Club members to explore and get to know the United Nations, VTV office. Through interaction and Q&A with the employees and guest speakers in these offices, our members could learn more about how this office and the people worked together as well as how they they spread the information to the public during these sessions.
Podcast projects: RMIT talk, I: Unfiltered
The purpose of these podcasts was to bring our view of public speaking to the audience, help youngsters (audience) discover and build their core values. Listening to our podcast might bring the audience a sense of self and originality in the chaotic era of digitalisation. Also, PSC hoped to unpack the link between their core values and their future professions.
