About

Santiago Velasquez joined the Business School of RMIT University Vietnam in 2021. He has solid practitioner’s experience in the field of forestry and digital solutions where he was positioned by Simosol Oy (now part of AFRY) as Regional Manager for Latin America and Director for Vietnam. Currently, he is the Associate Program Manager of the MBA and lectures Design Thinking for Business, a core course of the MBA program. Santiago has a PhD in management accounting and his current research interests include digital transformation, forestry and management accounting. In addition to the academia, Santiago has consulted clients on how to improve digital capabilities to optimise forestry management practices for over a decade.

- Advisor for multiple companies in projects related to Due Diligence, supply chain analysis, and wood processing joint ventures.
