Throughout my career, I have co-designed several learning experiences, including a Media and Design diploma programme jointly approved by Pearson (UK) and the Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago (ACTT), aligned with the Caribbean Qualification Framework (CQF). I currently develop educational content and coordinate courses across various disciplines in the humanities and social sciences.
My core research interests lie within the Sociology of Education and the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning concerning education policy and human capital formation in global south contexts. Other areas of my research also include Digital Cultures and Alternative Media. I have served as a peer reviewer, editor and author for several academic publications, including my role as an associate editor for the Southeast Asian Media Studies Journal.
I am a Visiting Fellow of the International and Comparative Education Research Group at the Universiti Brunei Darussalam (ICE-UBD) and hold fellowships with Advance HE (AFHEA) and Chandigarh University. My ongoing work involves funded research on navigating education and work pathways into the creative industries using generative AI and a design education learning model concerning the use of live coding.
