About

Myunjoong Kim is an Associate Lecturer in Cultural Studies and Cinema Studies. With over 18 years of experience in the communication sector, including roles as a reporter, editor, and public relations officer for various media outlets in South Korea, Kim provides a practical perspective in his teaching. 

 

Kim's background includes serving as the editor-in-chief of an inflight magazine and as a media team leader for a non-profit global organization in Seoul, highlighting his involvement in diverse cultural platforms. Before joining RMIT, he taught courses on Korean culture at Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages and Information Technology (HUFLIT), where he gained valuable experience in cross-cultural pedagogy. This combination of industry experience and teaching expertise allows Kim to offer students a comprehensive understanding of cultural studies and cinema studies, effectively bridging theory and practice.
