Dr. Zahid is an esteemed academic with over 15 years of experience in the field of accounting. Currently a Lecturer in Accounting at The Business School, RMIT University in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, Dr. Zahid has taught at several prestigious institutions worldwide, including Ulster University, Yunnan Technology and Business University, and the Virtual University of Pakistan. He holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration with a specialization in Accounting from Izmir University of Economics, Turkey, and a post-doctorate from Xi’an Jiaotong University, China. Adittionaly, he is a certified professional accountant with a certification from PIPFA (Pakistan Institute of Public Finance Accountants) and is an associate member of the same body.
Dr. Zahid taught the following subjects at Undergraduate and Graduate levels over the years:
Principles of Accounting, Financial Accounting I & II, Financial Statement Analysis, Financial Modeling, Management Accounting, Audit and Assurance, Accounting Information Systems (AIS), Logical Thinking and Expressions, Business Decision Making and Managerial Advisory Finance.
Dr. Zahid has achieved significant milestones in the realm of academic research, particularly within accounting and finance. With a prolific output of more than 45 published papers, his work has made substantial contributions to our understanding of international financial reporting standards, non-financial reporting issues, corporate governance, and digital transformation in business. In addition to his research and teaching, Dr. Zahid serves as an Academic Editor and Reviewer for different journals, playing a pivotal role in shaping contemporary research in accounting. His work significantly impacts policymakers, businesses, investors, and the academic community by enhancing transparency, improving governance practices, and informing policy-making. Dr. Zahid is dedicated to advancing the field of accounting and finance and nurturing the next generation of professionals through his engaging teaching methods and mentorship.
