This year, VFCD hosted diverse activities in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi in November and December. Nearly 2000 attendees convened and sparked intriguing ideas for the fusion of art and technology under the event theme – ‘Mind & Machine’.

“A huge part of the economic development of this country will be in the creative industries, fashion, film, game design, graphics, and photography. It's important that we continue to build the partnerships that we have with VICAS and UNESCO and all the other creatives that come together to make this festival really successful”, Professor Julia Gaimster, Dean of School of Communication & Design, RMIT Vietnam and head of the organising committee said.

Let’s walk through some notable moments from VFCD 2023:

Looking back on the five-year journey of VFCD, Professor Julia Gaimster said: "It's not somewhere you get to and then you stop. Our role is to keep the momentum going and still provide opportunities for young people to understand the impact and the importance of the creative industries to the economy of Vietnam”.
