Dr Huy Pham

Huy Pham is a lecturer in finance at RMIT University in Vietnam and the founder of RMIT FinTech-Crypto Hub. As a leading researcher in the fields of FinTech, cryptocurrencies, environmental finance, asset pricing and empirical finance; Huy’s research intertwines these fields to address UN SDGs (focusing on SDG 4, 6, 7, 9, 11 and 13) and create a more sustainable world. He is also one of the most sought-after fintech and blockchain experts in the APAC region for advisory and mentoring activities, research and media comments from premium news outlets such as Tech in Asia, Nikkei Asia, Vietnam Investment Review and Vietnam Economic Times.

Dr Binh Nguyen

Binh Nguyen is the Senior Program Manager of Blockchain Enabled Business and the Fintech-Crypto Hub Founder at RMIT Vietnam. He is a leading academic thought leader in frontier fields of finance & technology including Blockchain, Cryptofinance, Digital Assets, Digital Economy, and Fintech. He dedicates his academic work to creating insights on how technology will bring property rights, financial inclusion, and economic empowerment to everyone in the world.

Associate Professor Thai Nguyen

Dr Thai Nguyen earned his B.A. (Honours) and PhD degrees from the University of Nottingham (UK). His research interests include monetary policies, banking performance, financial technology and cryptocurrencies. He worked for HSBC Bank as a strategist before joining academia.

Dr Seng Kiong Kok

Dr. Seng Kiong, Kok is a Lecturer in Finance at RMIT Vietnam. He graduated the University of Liverpool with a PhD in Management Studies majoring in alternative financial systems. Seng’s research focuses on decomposing the role and characteristics of corporate governance entities, and further disentangling the mechanisms of transmission within the multi-layered governance frameworks. He has also published papers on corporate asset holding behaviour, portfolio construction, and financial engineering. His current research interests include an examination of the application and governance of blockchain solutions, especially within the realm of micro-banking and digital inclusion.

Dr Tuan Chu

Dr Tuan Chu is currently a lecturer in Economics at Department of Economics and Finance. Before joining RMIT, Dr Tuan had over 7 years teaching experience at New College of the Humanities-London, Bournemouth University, University of Winchester (United Kingdom). Dr Tuan has taught a wide range of Economics and Finance modules from undergraduate to postgraduate levels. He is currently a member of the Royal Economic Society and European Association for Comparative Economic Studies. Before having received the Vice-Chancellor Scholarship for studying PhD in Bournemouth University, Dr Tuan had more than 2-year experiences as a financial consultant in PVN Vietnam. His principal research interest lies in Macroeconomics, especially in Fiscal Policy. Blockchain, Cryptocurrency, Corruption and Sustainable Development have additionally been his research interests.

Dr Tra Pham

Dr. Tra Pham is a senior lecturer in Economics and Senior Program Manager of Economics. Prior to joining RMIT in 2013, she held various academic positions in University of Groningen (the Netherlands) and Vietnam National University and served as a Senior Economist to USAID-funded projects advising the Government of Vietnam on international economic policy issues.

Dr Linh Nguyen

Dr Linh Nguyen, Lecturer, Finance. Dr Linh Nguyen received her PhD degree from Queensland University of Technology, Australia. She is also a regular member of CFA institute and CFA Society Singapore. Her research interests include empirical finance, financial services, cryptofinance.

Dr Huy Doan

Huy Doan is the lecturer in Finance at RMIT University in Vietnam. He obtained the Ph.D. from University of New South Wales (UNSW) and worked as the lecturer and researcher at the University of Technology Sydney, UNSW and Vietnamese-German University prior to joining to RMIT University.

Dr Devmali Perera

Dr Devmali Perera is a Lecturer in Finance at RMIT University Vietnam. Dr Devmali received her PhD degree from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand. Prior to joining RMIT Vietnam, she has worked as a lecturer and researcher at the University of Canterbury, New Zealand and at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura Sri Lanka. Her research interests include the fields of agricultural commodity markets, investments, international finance, financial technology and meta-analysis.

Dr Tung Bui

MSc in Decision Mathematics and Econometrics, Toulouse School of Economics, France. PhD in Financial Economics, University of Burgundy, France. 15 papers in Finance and Economics published in Economic Modelling, Pacific-Basin Finance Journal, Australian Economic Review.
