Transfer your current degree to RMIT Vietnam

Internal Transfer

Students from RMIT University in Melbourne can transfer credits to existing programs and finish their degrees at RMIT Vietnam and vice versa.

External Transfer

Students from overseas universities can transfer credits to existing programs and finish their degrees at RMIT Vietnam. Transferred credits will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.  

Application checklists

  • Fill in the application form (Undergraduate/Postgraduate)
  • One portrait photo
  • Application fee receipt of VND 2,000,000 (~USD 85)
  • Fill in the Credit Transfer Application Form
  • Official academic transcripts/results for programs you have studied in the previous university (complete and incomplete) in both original language and English
  • English proficiency proof such as IELTS (Academic) 6.5 (no band below 6.0) or equivalence.

For non-RMIT/external students: must provide detailed course descriptions from the origin institutions.

A satisfied course syllabus must have all 4 components below. If one of them is not provided, our course coordinator cannot provide the outcome: 

  • Course learning outcomes: skills, knowledge and application
  • Course content: topics covered in course(s) 
  • Volume of learning: contact hours per week, number of teaching weeks 
  • Assessment approaches: assignments/examinations/ other equivalent

The application fee must be settled before applying to RMIT Vietnam.

Please include bank fees incurred in your total payment to ensure that RMIT receives the full fee amount. 

Once the payment has been made, send a screenshot of the remittance receipt to international@rmit.edu.vn.

Approval Process

There are two separate processes for external transfer applications, which are eligibility assessment and credit transfer assessment.

RMIT Admission department will normally advise you on the outcome of your application eligibility within 5-7 business days. Once the offer letter is released, you can then accept your offer by following the instructions in your offer letter.

The credit transfer assessment process could take up 3-4 weeks as the course coordinators need to assess course by course.

Application deadline

RMIT Vietnam has three trimesters each year, which commence in February, June, and October.

Our offers are subject to the availability of places in each program and applications to competitive programs may close before published deadlines, international students are recommended to submit their application to RMIT at least 4 - 6 months before the commencement date of each trimester
