RMIT University Vietnam is calling on ambitious and talented young individuals to join the University to make an impact and difference through its Scholarship program in 2025 with a total value of more than 53.5 billion VND.

Eighty-five out of 106 scholarships will be awarded to prospective pre-university, undergraduate and postgraduate students to study at RMIT University in Vietnam.

These scholarships are open to all young individuals who aim to create positive change for themselves and their community.

The other 21 scholarships will be granted to current RMIT Vietnam students.

The scholarship application deadline is 4 July 2025, except for these categories: Foundation Studies Scholarship, International Excellence Scholarship, Postgraduate Scholarship and Academic Achievement Scholarship for current students.

Further details will be announced at RMIT Vietnam’s Information Day on Sunday 12 January 2025 at the University’s Saigon South campus (702 Nguyen Van Linh Boulevard, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City).

Interim Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Julia Gaimster said that students who have received RMIT Vietnam’s scholarships over the years have become key partners in advancing the development of the communities the University serves.

“As the only offshore campus of an international university in Vietnam and a pioneer in Vietnam’s higher education sector, our Scholarship program has played a crucial role in developing high-caliber employees and future leaders for the nation,” Professor Gaimster said.

“RMIT Vietnam alumni community in excess of 22,500 members has a presence in many key industries, including media and communications, IT, telecoms, consulting services, financial and insurance services, consumer goods, retail and food services, tourism, leisure and hospitality, and transportation, infrastructure, and logistics, and many of them hold top management positions.

“Next year will mark our 25th year of operation in Vietnam and we are proud of the success of our scholarship programs to date. We have awarded scholarships to over 1,880 outstanding students, worth more than 645 billion VND."

Vice-Chancellor’s Scholars, one of the University’s most prestigious scholarship categories, will be awarded to seven high school students who have achieved exemplary academic grades and demonstrated outstanding community engagement and leadership potential.

The selection process involves three rounds, including screening, shortlisting, and an interview in English. The scholarship covers 100% of the undergraduate program tuition fee.

Another full tuition fee scholarship category is the Opportunity Scholarship for students with disability and/or financial disadvantage to study at RMIT Vietnam, giving these young individuals the opportunity to access world-class higher education and changing their lives. Among the six scholarships that the University will award this year, some will be chosen through partnerships with non-profit organisations.
