As part of RMIT Career Week 2019 at Hanoi and Saigon South campuses, the Career Fair emphasised the school's core mission to deliver an excellent learning experience, as well as preparing students for their future.

RMIT Career Fair 2019 attracted more than 40 leading industry partners and corporates from different sectors including CBRE, Panasonic, Pepsico, Intel, Bosch, Lazada, Shopee, Lalamove, InterContinental, Accor, H&M, and HSBC. RMIT Career Week 2019 commenced with an inspiring ‘Future of Jobs’ sharing session presented by RMIT Vice-chancellor and President Martin Bean CBE which addressed the impact of technology innovation in recent years on traditional industries. Martin Bean was joined by a panel of experienced recruitment specialists who also spoke to students.

As the closing event for Career Week, the Career Fair attracted more than 40 leading industry partners and corporates from different sectors including FMCG, manufacturing, IT, engineering, creative, digital marketing, retail, commerce, hospitality, logistics, banking, economics, finance, fashion and pharmaceuticals. 

Through the Career Fair, RMIT students are given the chance to accumulate knowledge from industry leaders about their experiences in the workforce. Students receive career consultation, develop and expand their network, and learn about professional etiquette from prospective employers. All these factors play a significant role in the personal development journey.

RMIT students get to meet and present themselves in front of employers, seeking opportunities to work at local and multi-national companies such as CBRE, Sanofi, Panasonic, Pepsico, Intel, Bosch, Lazada, Shopee, Lalamove, InterContinental, Accor, H&M and HSBC.

One of the representatives who participated in the Career Fair shared that such dynamic events are ideal to connect brands with future employees with capabilities and skills that match the company’s expectations.

Ms Hang Dang, the Managing Director of CBRE Vietnam, said that CBRE was excited to attend.

“We received more than 140 applications from RMIT students who are willing to join us in both intern and full-time positions,” Ms Hang said. “It was a fun event as we got to meet many experts, partners and colleagues from different sectors and industries.”

When asked about RMIT students, Labour Relations Manager of Sanofi Vietnam Ms Hoang Nguyen said “RMIT students are energetic and proactive. They are ready to accept the challenges right after graduating”.

Career Week welcomed more than 1,000 participants, creating a great start for RMIT students on their personal development and career exploration journey.
